Paying off Debt

Just wondering-- I just read that it took two decades after the death of Thomas Jefferson for his grandson to pay off the debts he incurred with his high living. I wonder how many years it will take our children and grandchildren to pay off our government debts incurred by high government spending.

Dave Ramsey, one of the best Christians, is on radio and gives instructions every weekday on being debt free. He has a book about it, and gives seminars. So many churches also give the Financial Peace seminar too.

I am familiar with Ramsey. I also have a debt free seminar that we have offered several times to different churches. Jennifer and I have practiced debt free living for many years now. (exception, we still have a home mortgage) The problem is our government doesn't understand debt free living.

It will take a lot more than it took Jefferson's children -- that's for sure.
